‘15 f150 2wd super crew xlt 5.0

Customer car delivery. This includes a couple full/throttle on ramp passes.

Granted this was also with cruise set at 70 on mostly low rolling hills in the Charlotte area.

I have no problems meeting or beating the sticker MPG on any turbo or hybrid vehicle I’ve driven. the people who claim they get “bad gas mileage” even though they “drive gently” don’t realize they’re not actually driving “gently.”

I imagine my car could get pretty good gas mileage, but I get my epa highway mpg while also doing 85-90. So that works for me!

That’s more than my father gets in his XLT with the 3.5 Ecoboost on a 400 mile turnpike trip. Then again, he seems to get into the turbo quite often when passing.

Meanwhile when I went to Vermont this summer I averaged 48 mpg in my Civic. Although around town I can’t seem to break 33 MPG when I drive it. My wife, who drives rather agressively (to put it lightly) can get at least 2 MPG more than me. That I can’t figure out.

Lies! That was downhill, both ways. Anyway yea I get 1-2 mpg less than my wife in our Ecoboost F-150 because I can’t resist the temptation to rip into boost all the time.

You also have two more gears than the Ford. So that helps I’m sure.

Agreed. The best mileage I’ve made in the WRX was on a road trip in a caravan of other scouting dads on our way to summer camp. Our speed was limited by the truck with the trailer. Despite having a top box, the WRX managed over 30 mpg.

“Normal” highway speed for me is a bit more spirited. As a result, two years of ownership shows an average around 19 mpg.

You people and your fancy pants in car calculators! Kinda funny that a 2015 Taco doesn’t have something similar.

40 MPG is easy on my 1.4 Golf, doable on mostly city driving. 50 MPG is achievable which is quite a bit more than the estimates.

I am so light on my Tacoma’s go pedal but the best I have ever done is 22.7 and mostly around 18-20. 15-18 if I’m not trying. I blame never ever going on the highway except for long trips. I just can’t figure out how to trick it into giving good fuel economy. Sometimes I say fuck it and it spits back 21 mpg and sometimes I am sooooo light on the pedal and I get 14.
